Miguel Santana Morales
Multi-instrumentalist Miguel Santana Morales has performed, toured and recorded bass, percussion, and piano for countless artists from Puerto Rico, Cuba and the USA, including Okan, Evan McIntosh, Charlie Cruz, Frankie Negron and Craig Owens and the Bodo Ensemble.
Miguel has his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance in Jazz Studies from Friends University and his Master’s Degree in Music Performance in Bass Studies from Wichita State University.
He currently directs the Jazz Lab and Conjunto Latino at Friends University, leads the live salsa ensemble Tumbáo and runs Baila Wichita dance studio.
Miguel plays a diverse range of music including jazz, R&B, gospel, experimental jazz, fusion, afro-latin, salsa, and many other styles of latin music.
